The Winner Takes it All
Sunday, September 28, 2008

You know, I've been playing the song "Abba Gold" since I was in primary school? I knew it was from a musical, but I've never seen it before. I watched the movie yesterday, and the story is just so nice. Symphonia will be playing this again next sunday in Esplanade for Beautiful Sunday, and I guess the song will take on more meaning as I play it again.

"The Winner Takes it All" is so meaningful can! and I guess I felt alot for this song :)

I don’t wanna talk
About the things we’ve gone through
Though it’s hurting me
Now it’s history
I’ve played all my cards
And that’s what you’ve done too
Nothing more to say
No more ace to play

The winner takes it all
The loser standing small
Beside the victory
That’s her destiny

I was in your arms
Thinking I belonged there
I figured it made sense
Building me a fence
Building me a home
Thinking I’d be strong there
But I was a fool
Playing by the rules

The gods may throw a dice
Their minds as cold as ice
And someone way down here
Loses someone dear
The winner takes it all
The loser has to fall
It’s simple and it’s plain
Why should I complain.

But tell me does she kiss
Like I used to kiss you?
Does it feel the same
When she calls your name?
Somewhere deep inside
You must know I miss you
But what can I say
Rules must be obeyed

The judges will decide
The likes of me abide
Spectators of the show
Always staying low
The game is on again
A lover or a friend
A big thing or a small
The winner takes it all

I don’t wanna talk
If it makes you feel sad
And I understand
You’ve come to shake my hand
I apologize
If it makes you feel bad
Seeing me so tense
No self-confidence
But you see
The winner takes it all
The winner takes it all......

okay, continue mugging. Supply chain management is strangling me x.x

Mini updates

Wine Connection
Went for a drink with Bryan and Aaron after UBS talk last few weeks. Went back to Wine Connection! Wanted to have Riesling, but tried another sweet wine instead. But glad the guys liked it because it's kind of too sweet for wine, yet not ice wine. Probably only having a glass should be okay.. Two glasses and above dont feel as nice already, still missing the Riesling I had at Rochester Park!

Botak Jones
Went botak jones with Ariel on last saturday. We were so crazy over the fish and chips and the spicy fries! Although my other friends mentioned that the portion shrunk alot, we still couldnt finish our share can. It's really nice with grilled shitake mushrooms on top of the fish and cheese + sauce on the cajun chicken! *slurps*

New room layout
I've always wanted to use this layout for my room so I have more space for study/ MJ. But due to the poor construction of my windows, the sun is too hot for my room during the day and I can actually feel the heat on my bed during the day. But now when the house beside is built, although there is not much breeze already, my room is cooler during the day :)

:)))))

Nike Run 2008

Updates on nike run! Met lotsa SMU people at the run ^^ Sweat like a tap, and had Carl's junior for dinner.

I was searching for the loo badly during the run and i had to stop a few times just because i need to peeeeeeee. and the urshers dont know anything about any loos along the race -_- pissed. There are also quite a few bottle necks during the race, causing everybody to stop running and walk through the small spaces. These are probably the frustrating issues for the rest. Nonetheless, running through this race was kinda fun. It's really amazing when as you run, you meet your long lost friends, or even saw some of your friends along the route! :)

Before the race

After the race

The next one will be Great Eastern Run!

The familiar surrounding
Saturday, September 13, 2008

As I enter the house, it looked so familiar, yet so distant.

As I enter the room, everything is still the same. The degree of messiness, the arrangement of stuff which I can remember most of it at the tip of my fingers. The comfortable and familiar environment suddenly became so forbidden. As I left the room, there is this subtle unwillingness to walk out. Somehow the bed looked so inviting, I feel like just let myself fall on the bed, snuggling with the mess diagonally. But, I had to leave.

This strange feeling is still lingering in me, which I cannot describe.

Who gets frustrated
Saturday, September 06, 2008

Was having supper with the Symphonia Exco after meeting at HK cafe, Stuart pointed something out which is very true!
Here goes:

- Guys get irritated more easily when he is hungry
- Girls get irritated more easily when she does not have enough sleep

I agreeeeeee!! like totally!!
