A Journey To Remember

Cecilia completed her first half marathon at 2 hrs 59 mins 15 s :)))))))

Even though I walked quite a bit, I'm still satisfied and happy that I've completed ^^ Runners from Symphonia - Winnie, Meishan, ME! Some of them went for 10km, and Andy went for the full. As for the gym team, too bad I did not get to meet them before and after their race. They four guys ran for the full marathon.

UPDATES #7 - Arts Bash

Honestly, I was disappointed with the arts bash. I was actually expecting more events and rara-ness during the bash. But only 1 caderas (latin dance) was performed, and nothing else. It just felt like another event by gourmet club or even a self-organised event. Probably the best part was just the limited free-flow champagne at the start of the party at 8pm?! and yes, luckily we reached at 830 and there's still some left :) It was exhausted by 9pm or 845pm. It certainly "covered" our sunk cost that we paid for the tickets. So i'd say it's only worth going it because of that and not because of the bash. Furthermore, as the event is at velvet, the music wasn't that good that day (im not sure is it because its at velvet or only that day); and eventually most people floated to zouk as our entry entitle us to go there too.

Nonetheless, as i've said, the fun element is always there :) It's the company that counts right!

Forgot to mention, the "star" was Andy that night. You can't believe how his puke squirt through his fingers while covering his mouth and having Edwin, Fadz and Tim taking care of him the whole night. why would anyone drink till like that huh! control can!! super unglam. And if you wanna puke, you should know, and go to the toilet, lock yourself in the cubicle (or sink if there's none available) while you can clean yourself (or can ask a friend with you) before facing the "public" outside the toilet.

But it was hilarious ^^

UPDATES #6 - Mugging

Exam period is the final stage of the stress period. The rule of thumb is: go early, chope seats and stay whole day. As usual, I appeared at my favourite studying area in the library :)

Stayed overnight during week 14, tuesday.

UPDATES #5 - Ben's 21st Bday

A delicious spread of delicacies laid out in Swiss Cafe. The cheese and the best red wine was served, asparagus soup, barley soup, sushi and sashimi, a wide variety of pastries and ice cream. Yums.

After the party a group of 6 girls went to berlini grand. and oh-my-gosh, berlini grand is NICE!!!!!!!! i really love the ambience and deco in berlini grand. It's really a unique jazz bar, love it. Somehow it gives me the very shanghai/victorian era, a high end place during that period of time. Very grand, yet very "old". i like it!! :))))

UPDATES #4 - Beautiful Sunday

Symphonia performed at the Esplanade for the Beautiful Sunday series in October. Wouldn't say its a good concert, but certainly the fun element is still inside. In fact, I think all of us were tired on that day; energy level reduced alot during playing.

Woohoo!! This was my first helloween party, and i really love it!! Due to some privacy issue, I shall not post group photos, but I will still show the characters who were there =) The gym team!

UPDATES #2 - Holiday at Ben's house + failed mission 1

Attendance: Denise, Benjamin, Me

Denise and I brought our running gear, shower stuff and necessary stuff. We were about to go for great eastern run the next day. Did we make it? no. We slept till 12pm.

We went out at night, hoping to accomplish our mission. It was supposed to be a two-person affair, but we brought Ben out since we're staying at his place and it'll be fun to have him in our mission. Nevertheless, Edwin msg me about going out the night next day, so we asked him along. WHO KNOWS!! he already asked fadz when we told him he's exclusive to be able to be part of the mission. HAHA. Okay, so we had some exclusive JW red label at ben's place and chips, with denise biting off her glass; and i dont know how she did it. it was amazing cos the glass was quite thick!!

Anyway, we made our way to cafe Iguana at Clarke Quay. Then since so many people are there and its highly unlikely that we can accomplish our mission, I texted aaron. So he came with an exchange student (as usual) and just talked. So yup, nothing happened!! Mission 1 Failed.
