Batam trip with Apes

yuppie! we finally have our apes outing last friday. Mik was nice to give us the day off just for the outing.. :D Claurene and David were the organisers.
Though Batam literally has nothing to do, and Mik did warn us not to expect too much, but i like the environment! not that i like messy places, but i find their kampong areas very interesting. It's my first time seeing so big chunk of kampong areas. haha.. Very nice to take pictures of their life there, cos you'd never see it in singapore.
We 'rented' 2 taxis with drivers, and roam around batam. Was quite difficult cos of language barrier between the driver and us. It was quite funny when mik asked him question A, and he answered answer Z. LOL. x.x
Went to GO KART first. The xxms (xiao mei meis) didnt play, and neither did david. So we just rot at the tables. I was quite interested actually, but later when i see them play, i'm glad i didnt play. dont look interesting anymore..haha..

Had lunch after that. The scary thing in batam is that you'll never know when you'll get conned. and you'll get conned in every possibility. Lunch was quite a difficult one. haiz. David was afraid that we get con, and argued with the rest. cos mik thinks it should be okay, and thinks they wont con us. So the arguements lasted for a while. and david decided not to eat. Everybody was uneasy. we just ate a lil though.
After that we went shopping. SHOPPING IN BATAM??? you must be thinking we're crazy. yeah, you're right. lol. there's nothing in there. the only thing that we were so excited about was, --> A&W. We had waffle ice cream and root beer float.

hmmm.. after that we went to look at the seafood place. Thought we were going some keilong or what.. i thought it'd be interesting to eat at the keilong (those run down and old old kind). but the place that the taxi driver brought us to was a nice nice one! which we didnt really feel like eating.. but anyway, i dont mind lah..

Last tues was tom's 20th birthday. Due to NS, i celebrated with him last last sunday! hur. kind of late to update..hahah but anyway, had a great time with him.. Actually planned to have the pasta at suntec, but i didnt do my homework! The pasta shop was closed down. -.- So instead, i suggested swensens.. hur hur. had my usual fish and chips, he had steak :D
Didnt spend much time together (a few hours), but it feels good nevertheless :D tom gotta go home to get changed and pack his stuff before booking in.

hmmm.. this week has been quite mao mao for me.. scattered workloads, noisy environment, etc. these 2 is already very mao for me.. tsk.. lets see..
Happy moments:
Tennis on wednesday at Mechie's place! hahaa.. sweated like i've never sweat before.. i sweat easily.. though we played in the evening, i'm like.. raining on myself -.- drip and drip. Love the sweat, and the fun! though i'm like 99% hitting shadows and air, every moment when i hit the ball, with the 'pong' sound.. so excited..LOL..
Excited moments:
Taking Claurene's bike on wednesday to Mechie's place!! wooo! my first time being a pillion on a female biker. damn exciting.. nearly flew off 832764 times backwards from the bike.. LOL.. felt so naked on the bike -.- there's no box behind, and the seats are slanting downwards.. so whenever claurene brake, i'll slide down and clash with her.. whenever she accelerate or start from stationary, i'll fly back a lil.. scary, but excited..hahah... when she squeeze in between cars, it's wobbling! gosh... keke..
Frustrated moments:
NOISE! there's too much noise.. seriously..
Pissed moments:
I hate people who discriminate music. seriously. i'm not pointing fingers at anyone, but because i've seen people like that from few years back.. I mean, i dont force everybody to like every kind of music.. but dont discriminate, or criticise.. because, every genre of music has it's beauty. yea? just like classical, operas.. not everybody can appreciate them, and see their beauty, or even have a liking for them.. but why say till it's like it's some bad music, and you dont wanna listen to a teeny lil bit at all.. it's just not right.
i've friends who sleep listening to classical music, i have friends who dislike techno, jazz and so on.. i dont mind you see, but they dont bring down those music.. because they truly know, that it's themselves who dont know how to appreciate, and not that that kind of music is lousy. Just have an open mind yeah.

Happy moments:

Had a fufilling saturday last week. Met up with my darlings.. yuanting, chingling, and tom. hur.
Went for the NUS yong siew toh conservertary of music's piano master class with yuan ting. An eye opening session too. Though we've been to quite a few of their concerts before already, the pieces they played that day were very impressive, especially the third girl. they're so damn good already, and she practiced that song for 6 months!! imagine how difficult that piece is! tsk..
But then, the whole masterclass that day was quite boring.. i think it's cos of the italian guy who conducted the masterclass.. haa.. Had a lil catch up with yuan ting at least.. heh..

Met up with chingling in the noon.. went window shopping.. it's been a very long time since i met her out for shopping too..hahaha.. but then, i have to resist whatever i'm tempted to buying. This month is causing a big hole in my pocket.. too many things to spend on.. especiall myself >< went to the doc twice, dental appointment this month, MUST have a hair cut, and for driving lessons, i went to the circuit. muahha.. but apparently, i just changed my dental appointment to next month and cancelled one driving lesson.
yeah, shopping with chingling was good! haa.. and besides i haven gone shopping for 23984 months already... same thing, did some catch up with chingling too.. :)

next, met up with tom, at his place.. it's so heartache to see his bruises that he accumulated from the field camp mann.. and the number of mosquito bites on his hands .. :s and the bad cough he got from tekong.. tsk.. but luckily, this is the only field camp that he has to go.. :)

doh, some of u out there must be thinking "You're crazzzyyyyy". -.- *ahem* yeah mann.. i went to the doc last night, and just now. my throat worsened this morning, and was down with fever again.
My phlam has this wierd lump of stuff this morning. got freaked out mann.. actually this morning wanted to go to work.. but worried about my condition, so i walk to the mrt, and walk back -.- lol.. spent 2 bloody hours at the polyclinic. got a female doc, again. but this female doc is good! she listens to me.. the one ytd (private clinic) just 'fu yan' me.. -.- whatever i say, she'll 'orrrr'. done. -.- more question marks after seeing her.. lol..
anyway, today doc gave me some medicine + a bottle of gargle.. for the throat.. she says she can see what's inside there (the hurting part) but she says she can see the throat it's all reddish and dried up.. eww! sound like 'lap cheong' (dried sausage) -.- i took a picture of the wierd lump of stuff and showed it to the doctor.. she didnt seem to care much about it.. so guess it's normal? *ahem* hope so mann..
Migh wanna visit the library later with mandy..well see first.. wahhaha.. im so lazy can~ but i wanna borrow some books to read.. (not storybooks, but some.. 'facts' books) .. hur. shall see how later.

My phlam has this wierd lump of stuff this morning. got freaked out mann.. actually this morning wanted to go to work.. but worried about my condition, so i walk to the mrt, and walk back -.- lol.. spent 2 bloody hours at the polyclinic. got a female doc, again. but this female doc is good! she listens to me.. the one ytd (private clinic) just 'fu yan' me.. -.- whatever i say, she'll 'orrrr'. done. -.- more question marks after seeing her.. lol..

yuppie! finally, i went to the doctor. 1.5 days of fever, 2.5 days of severe headache, 1 day of light headache, 3.5 days of sore throat.. *phew* finally, i'm left with minor headache, and throat infection. Doctor gave me antibiotics to fight my infection, and pain killers for headache. oh well, she didnt mention anything about the sharp pains ~.~ question mark mann..
anyway, i spent my holidays sleeping and sleeping, sweating and sweating, looking absolutely like a zombie.. -.- lie on the bed for so damn long.. walk to the sofa, lie down, walk to my room, lie down, walk to my sis room, lie down too.. -.- my head nearly drove me crazy mann.. it's.. grrrrr irritating... and hurts like (*$^#@*( .. din really have such heavy headache within such a long period (few days).. anyway, it was horrible. eww!

Claurene got her hurting toe! got squashed by bike. ewwww... will post up the pic soon..lolx.. she look so painful! walk like an old lady, and cant even wear a slipper within a minute.. she took 5 minutes to wear it! hopefully she can go to the doctor soon mann.. it looks damn painful.. and it has been a few days since it has been squashed..the whole toe nail went black (the big toe).. tsk..
