A Journey To Remember

I've been with ape for.. *counts* 1 year + 2 months. about there. Yup, Had loads of fun and laughter.. Especially with claurene and juliana.

I remember when I went there for the interview, I loved the environment.. totally! I thought it was fun sitting on high mounted chairs, and the office was very bright and refreshing. That's comparing with musictec's office, which was quite suffocating for me cos there's no windows, and we dont go out for lunch. yeah.

Though I didnt really take a good look around the office, i like it! :D Then I thought I couldnt get in.. cos the way they put it, the standard sounds very high -.- so i thought i had no chance lo. Since it's my first job, i didnt have much portfolio to show, only the better works are done during when I was in musictec.

Yeah, anyway, After a few days, boss called me and told me I was accepted. I'm like.. O.O I didnt want a job at that time cos its only 2 weeks after my attachment! x.x so u see.. nearly died! At least must have some fun first ah.. x.x But then.. I love the environment.. So it's actually a very huge attraction to me.. And besides, it's hard to get a job lo, and it's a design house.. so i guess i shouldn't let go of this opportunity. yup, so i accepted!! hehehe

Tough ah at first!! OT for months mann! Almost everyday we're staying till at least 8pm, sometimes even 11 +.. MEMORIES. woah. But after that, the workload sort of went down. So not so bad afterall.

Besides fun and laughter.. there are also maoness and pek cekness. Sometimes seriously feel like flipping the table, stomp and go. waaaa.. clients fault lah. very frustrating at times.

Seriously, I really learnt alot after working after this period of time. I went in with zero knowledge of CSS, little knowledge on html coding in code view, web design (oh at that time i suck at it and i HATE it), and also limited knowledge of flash design. I've improve alot now! hehe.. and im glad to say i can code quite-ok and design quite-ok.. though i didnt really have the chance to practice flash there.. But i still can practice some of my actionscript there. :)

Maoness comes whenever clients make unreasonable requests.. or got to redo stuff.. or overwrite our own stuff.. and got to redo.. ahhhhhhh.

My worst project was a flash CD-ROM. WAAA!! I worked at home , brought to tom's place.. TO DO !!

oh well.. It's been all well. Blessing in disguise. Although mao, frustrated, always strangle ah toise, we learnt alot of stuff, esp like when we see how the sales handle clients, when we meet clients, how does it work, how to go about doing a website, how to handle alot of situations.. So im really glad to have got into ape. :) Really grateful for them to let me have a chance to start of my first job in this environment :)

GOOD BYE APES! For this week. x.x I'll be working part time for them. Going back next week though. LOL.

Had a farewell dinner just now. We ate rice table. woah!! darn full can! I almost burst-ed. lol. Then after that we went Alley Bar for a drink and chit chat session. I had Tropical Peach. Nice! Not too strong, and very sweet. hur hur. THen got a farewell gift from the apes.. and a greeting card :D THEY ARE SO SWEEEEEEET!! :D

I guess mainly cos Celia is the one choosing the stuff... so you know.. she's the kind who is very thoughtful yea.. Heard she spent hours at Taka today to choose the cards.. haha.. and then boss says she faking..LOL. kidding one ah.

Tah dah!!! The gift is... *muahahahhahahaah* MANGO VOUCHER!!! Good time you know :D cos after this sales, will be the NEW SEASON!!! weeee! :D:D:D:D:D

hee hee~ and then boss drove us home. hiak hiak. Im such a lucky bitch. Boss's new house is near my old house. Actually his current house is also near my house. Then now that i've moved, Boss's wife-to-be also moved, to the building next to my house. LOL! But when they're married, they will move to the new house, which is near my old house. Which is.. still near my house! HAHA.. But oh well.. I've quit my job. only going back for part time. hee hee.

Spoilt brat

I want a lappy. I dont need a new one, my dad's old one is okay. But i want a lappy. Yeah, im being a spoilt brat here now. Mama says i got a mac, so im not doing design anymore, and i know i need a lappy, why i still insist on buying a mac. Reason? Daddy says i can own a mac if i dont go in interior. Motive? I want my parents to fulfil the promise they made. Since they made it themselves, what's the prob? Call me a super spoilt brat then. Anyway, I still use my mac for stability in doing design. Doesnt mean im not a full time designer, im not doing design. I still want to learn my interior, remember? Im doing freelance too. So doesnt it put my mac into use?

Yeah, mommy has 4 kids to take care of. Currently still paying all our school fees. This year im going into a degree course already. Elder sis is overseas right now, living on mom's $$ for daily expenses plus shopping, accomodation, and school fees. I'll be locally receiving education. My bro is in poly, soon ns, and he intends to study locally. My younger sis? still a long way to go.

Spending her money right now doesnt sound right. Yeah. So i really tried not to take her money if possible. I decide to earn my own shopping $$ to keep my life going. So I intend to stay in APE as a part timer. 1.5 days later, i'll officially quit the job. The projects are mao, but it pays well. So why not make my design active, while studying a business degree? good choice afterall.

Somehow, I'll want to find another part time job to keep my money going. like once a week or so.

Afterall, im not THAT a spoilt brat afterall.

How many of you, your parents, appreciate what you've done.. be it a simple drawn mothers' day card, a lousy key chain you bought from an overseas trip, some useless stuff you bought, trying to please them? Maybe they will say a thank you. and continued it with "har?! waste money buy these useless stuff" and put at a corner, let it rot forever.

Maybe they tried to be appreciative, we dont know.

I started performing since i was primary 3. I followed my parents to join band, followed them to choose clarinet. My mom said i was wasting my time, even though i didnt had bad results. To strive for their attention, I fought hard in my studies, I want to please them. I spent alot of time in band too. but it definitely didnt affect my studies, instead, it helped me in my studies. Though i did not have fantastic results for my PSLE, i had an average mark. Which got me a place in Geylang Methodist Sec.

In fact, tho my results arent fantastic, all along i scored better than my siblings. But the attention i got, is the worse among them. Tom said it's called middle-child-syndrome.

When i was in primary 5, we got a chance to do the mass display for youth festival. I was so happy, got the tickets and hoped for my parents to go. I really hope they can be there for my performances. But they didnt. :( yeah, i cried. Because they didnt want to go. hur. But my sister went. I was elated that day!

Moved on to secondary school. Continued my band. When i was in sec 2, i squeezed into the first class. happy! They only replied "heh, good". And never bother already.

Secondary 2, i wanted to go into faith 3-2 badly. I want that subjects combination. I know im one of the lousist among my friends. I worked harder than before, tho still not as good as my peers, I got into the class i want. Mommy was happy for me, but she has gotten use to 'no need to worry' me mindset. So, it's just like normal results to her.

Continue to strive hard. Till olevels. I got the results i wanted. But i chose poly. Cos i like poly. Initially i got into accountancy. mommy said "anything" just choose whatever i want. But in the end.. her naggings really drowned me. I changed my path to multimedia. it's said to be 'good future'. whatever.

Now, Im choosing my degree course. I have my dreams. Interior design that is. I cannot explain the passion i have for interior design. The desire to make every environment comfy. Maybe that's just a interest, i dont know, because i've not gone into it. I admit, I still cant get over the fact that i have to choose to go for business. yah, to normal people, it's brainless to go to poly with my o level results (not fantastic but i can get into a jc), and brainless to go into interior design which everybody can go with my poly results (not fantastic also lah, at least can earn me a place in smu). To me its not. Results is only self satisfaction to myself. The power comes from satisfaction.

I dont know, my mom may be right. For me to go into business. Next time we'll know yah? Yeah, on that very day i have to pay lasalle's school fees, smu gave me a place in the school. Maybe it's God's will.

In anycase, my best home design, will be my future home. that's for sure. :)

Last friday, I got daddy a black pepper chicken pie from Don. For his fathers' day present. I bought it during lunch of course. Daddy said "ee not nice one. so cold" and went up to his room. I smiled. But i was disappointed. Because that pie wasn't appreciated.

I know parents dote me. They try to give me whatever i want, whatever i need. I really seek understanding. They may be trying hard to show appreciation, but perhaps they dont know how. I dont blame them. Everybody has a way to show their feelings.

Seriously, I CANT WAIT FOR FREEDOM!! Though it's only 2 months of 'holiday' for me, i am still happy.

Work seriously suck this week, AND next week. OT OT OT and OT. Work kept coming in, pillilng up my workload till it overflowed to next week. damn. I hate that. Busy with good stuff still not so bad. We're packed with mantainence!! arghh.. I'm currently updating 2 huge websites. Each is like 100+ pages? one of them is like 200+ pages? eww! *puke*

Everything seems so rush-y. Emails flooding the sale's mailbox. and she'll fwd to us, flooding OUR mailboxes. IT'S EXTREME MAO-NESS. Maybe Im eager to quit, that's why. But seriously mann, the job scope now suck to the maxxxxx. grrr.

Drove on last friday and yesterday. My dear mummy allowed me to drive after much pleading. HAHA.

Last friday had to drive my sister from school as she will be having a long day , and late night. So I asked Tom over. After attending kaiting's birthday bash, I proceed home and drove out to drive my sis. That was actually my first time driving my dad's car OUT. That was kinda scary though. But luckily before that, I drove matrix up the express way before already. That added a lil experience for me on the expressway.

Okay, sitting in the car this time, I dont feel that tiny. Everytthing adjusted properly, and was ready to go. Realised the car isnt moving!! Cos i havent release hand brake. HAHA :x Tom was beside me. Actually mommy wants to follow. I dont really dare to let her on board lah, cos later she kan jiong ah, I will gabra like a zebra.

Okay, I drove out, with Tom's help in direction and look out for traffic for me. Seriously, I CANT DRIVE WITHOUT HIM. While driving, I seriously cant look at the road signs. I'm already so busy looking out for cars etc. where got enough eyes?!?! I can multitask in anything, except driving. oh mann.. Anyway, managed to fetch my sister from school, and back home.

Mom was so worried. LOL. It's my first time driving out ma, of course will worry. hur.

Then yesterday. Drove to tom's house and to suntec and back home. Drove alot yesterday .. so was quite tired. cos level of concentration very high. for me lah. Yesterday pleaded mommy for so long then she let me drive. x.x anyway, daddy allowed me too. I smsed him and he said OK!! wee! hehe.. but he said must have my mom beside me. But i guess tom better lah. Though he very naggy on the road like how all testers and instructors are. x.x But my mom more nervous in a way.. later she do anything.. waaaa the consequence worse than naggings. lol.

Oh yea, my driving never do without stunts. New stunts came out on friday and saturday. LOL. On friday, got horned 2 times. I'm reckless!! first time I was thinking which lane to go, so my car is actually in between 2 lanes. Then LOL. The cars behind dont know what im doing. CONFIRM!! when they pass by me, sure say this "WOMEN!". Then the 2nd time was cos im behind 2 vans, and they were like hogging the road, so i travelled slow also. So they horn lo x.x

Then yesterday, while merging to the major road, i looked right, and back, my steering wheel went left. I almost hit the kerb and went up the grass ah!! luckily got tom ah! else i really end up there lo. x.x super close already!! scared ah!! zz

Anyway, conclusion is... the expressway is kind of scary. Every car is fast. and im the slowest. being the slowest isnt the problem as long as i keep my speed there. is is ... the cars all very fast, so any small mistake will cause big problems.. eww. scary.

anyway, naima just passed her TP on friday!! wee!! congrats.

cuuuutttteeee

Tom and I bathed muffin on saturday. hahaha.. she look so funny can!! we are so mean. Laugh at her after bathing her x.x

she seriously cant stop licking herself dry. LOL!!

We cleaned her cage then filled with water. With a cap of shampoo. Created a lil bubbles in her water. Tom carried her there, slowly put her in, and immediately ran out, hopped out of the tub, and ran across the whole porch. To one corner, and lick herself. Then Tom tried to calm her down, stroke her a lil and carried her again.

This time, Tom held her down and i carefully scooped water onto her body. At one point of time, she finally cannot take it.. she struggled, and ran out. Even tom cant stop her. The power of muffin. tai li hai le.

Later on we managed to cover her with towel. it got wet immediately mann. Her fur absorbed water really well. Tried drying her with 2 towels. Then brought her indoor. Tom held her upside down while i used fan and hair dryer to dry her underside. My arms tired already..but her fur only a LITTLE dryer.

Later on we let her run around.. and she kept lickng herself. When her fur is 90% dry.. aow.. it's so smooth can!! damn comfy for her.

Recently she has been eatin and drinking well. Ever since clipping her tooth, she's eating normally again! hehe.. so happy for muffin.

Time is passing so darn slow. We're all counting down our days in the company. Luckly jul and yuanting.. they have like 4 - 5 days of leave available. and i have only 2.5 days to clear. But oh well, doesnt really make any difference for 2 days. but.. okay. It's always better to have MORE. LOL.

Today while msn-ing yt, we were talking about our lives after quitting! ahh! that is bad. HAHAH. We're so determined to leave our work mann. We're actually looking forward for the holidays, not schooling. Somehow, schooling is like a commitment. Degree is like a turning point for both of us. A change in our careers. So it will determine our future life somehow. :) Therefore, worries and stress comes even before we go for school. As Tom has said, never judge anything before experiencing it, else it'll be what you've judged. :)

You know, when start schooling, i cannot sit down and watch tv from 7-10pm already.. Maybe, i cant even watch tv and do my work simultaneously already. Freedom is restricted. :( I'm enjoying so much freedom during working period. I can watch tv for as long as i want, sleep as late as i can, go out after work whenever i want. There is no work at home. I'm free. With schooling, I cant for sure. Shopping days cant be predicted. Exams. eeks.

For your info, I used to love exams. Because.. i like stress x.x Ok dont think im crazy alright.. Actually ever since primary school, I'm occupied with CCA. Up till poly, I will try to take up CCA, and I did! It's a form of relaxation for me, not a stress.

So.. I should start thinking what i should take up during my Uni studies.. Hmmm..

I better enjoy my hols first. 2 months! i gave myself 2 months of holidays. wee! I will nag yt and jul everyday for shopping LOL!! Other than them, I dont think anybody else is free lo x.x

I'm broke. Broke to the max. While waiting for my freelance $$ to pay back my driving expenses, Im also waiting for my next month's pay to pay back all my spent-money. It's kinda terrible. Partly cos this month got lots of things to spend on.

1. Muffin's expenses.

3. Rayston's present
4. Thomas' dad's present
5. Coming 1 more friend's present
6. Heels
7. Cab fare
8. Blades - still owe tom some
9. ++-- some shopping

Okay, so you can see this month is actually a killer. BUT. It's not the REAL killer. My killer months are always April and August. Well, but it's okay. You know, giving is a joy :D I'm happy, but im broke. wahahaha!

Just called Naima to wish her heippi birthday. Got her a pressie wanted to pass her tomorrow. Too bad she's leaving for bangkok tomorrow, so i'll pass her next week :D HAPPY 21st!!!! WE'RE ADULTS. ^5. LOL

That makes me happier +1 for the day! cos i got a pressie for her.

Got blades today with tom. wee! we got the same model though, recommanded by the salesman. Good buy i'd say. Can go a long way. hur. Okay, cos I have big feet, so i can get men's model. The salesman so NICE lah!

He said "actually your feet is considered BIG. BUT! it's okay, it's good actually, you can have more choices cos you can choose among the men's models too.. Some girls like the men's model, but they cant fit!"

I was wondering if he's being nice, a compliment, or is it that he's.. eee-ed by my feet. Actually seriously speaking, according to the forum, size 8 (my feet size), is not uncommon. It's pretty widely seen. Yeah. I'm proud of my feet ok!!

Yup, I actually got a size smaller than tom only. Amazed? His feet small lah, not mine big :D wahahah..

Today my elder sis called me up too. She went to Supre again at aussie. She went to the physical store. I din want to buy online cos no worth ah, shipping cost. My sis can ship back with other stuff so save the $$. hiak. She called to say that there's stock for the satin shorts and the jumper shorts!! weee!! Having some credits with her (owe me $$), It's a good buy. hur. So I asked her to get it for me. So over at aussie, i spent about 30 AUD. YAY!

Had dinner at tom's place - CHA BEE HOOON. I DAMN HEART BEEHOON. wahahah. In case you all dont know, my name in the office, named by Kimchi aka juliana Li, is Beehoon Tang. That makes me Chen (my surname) meifen (beehoon) in chinese. EEEKS!!! SO SONG CAN!! yuck. I prefer my own chinese name - yan qing. awwwww. LOL

Next up, world cup. I dont watch, so i was bored. 9pm, tom was at his living room watching England. I stayed in the room. Surfed finish my forum, bored. Then went out, saw aunt callie, she realised im in the house. LOL. So she and jean and georgia came in the room and talk. waaa not so bored. Had some laughs.

Then after that we all went out. I sat down and watch for a while. Kinda forced myself to keep awake. It's not boring, just that.. i dont understand. After a while, i realise what im watching.. okay, so it was quite excited after that. I was excited not them. Cos to me, the ball like want to goal dowan to goal..very.. abit kan jiong. LOL but to them.. it's.. boring already. wahah. okay, at least i watch SOME of the world cup.

Going home already after that. Tom's friend, wei kiat, let me drive his car. He said he's tired, so I drive. He's nice to lend me his car. and BRAVE. LOL. After my test, it's the 2nd time driving only. And it's my first time driving out. I havent even drive out to small roads, and now im going up to expressway. EXCITED !!! So he and tom were passengers. I sit in the driver's seat, then start. Abit clumsy though. LOL.

The exciting part was up the expressway ah! waaa.. normally i drive 40-50.. now i go up to 80. Kinda scary cos all the cars are very fast, and sometimes i go too fast, sometimes too slow. then when im too fast, i find it very hard to slow down cos auto cars brake very slowly. Then i cant seem to maintain my speed too. either too fast or too slow..lol. Then cos it's at night, i cant get my mirrors right. I only can see lights from behind, but not cars. so kinda scared actually. But Tom was beside me guiding. So i feel more secured.

wee! then i reached home. exciting ride.

It's muffin day today. Tom took halfday, I had an off day.

Prepared muffin's carrier, prepared small amounts of food and water for her with the carrier, put her in, and poof! Off to groom her :D She's heavy mann. lol. The carrier itself is quite heavy already. cos it's actually a dog's carrier. I got it for her cos she couldnt fit in rabbit's carrier. LOL. Then when muffin move in the carrier.. she feel so giant to me. lolol. cute lah!

Cabbed down to city hall and met tom there. The cabbie uncle asked "eh? bringing your dog for competition ar?" i .. -_- i said it's a rabbit. and smile. LOL. okay. Then after that tom helped me carry muffin already. she's too heavy for my arms x.x

That carrier alone attracted alot of attention from passer bys. They were even debating WHAT IS INSIDE. lol. so funny. Okay, then we finally reach the pet shop, and the lady happily carry muffin out :D look at her, talk to her, then start flipping her over and look at her teeth. she was quite shock that her teeth has grown so long!!

Picks up the clipper, open her mouth, and clip her tooth. use one arm's strength still not enough eh.. she used 2 arms' strength to clip her tooth. WAAAAA muffin look like dracula with the long teeth. Then carried on to clip another tooth. Muffin looked so in pain! once she clipped her tooth, she shivered abit. But im sure she's feeling good now :D

Carried her around for a while, while i got my new heels from URS :D FINALLY! wee! hehe.

Brought her home after that. Changed her cage, clean her up, then spply some anti-mites spray on her. She has got some fur mites on her. So bought a mites spray for her too. hopefully she will recover soon. poor muffin. But luckily it's not contagious and it's mild.

Because, parents dont keep their promises.

I FORSAKE shopping / gossip / meetup session with claurene and juliana. Eager to go home and practice on dad's car. So what do i get in the end? NO SHOPPING + NO DRIVING.

so what's wrong with it you might ask. IT'S A BIG DEAL. cos.. I FORSAKE SHOPPING!!!! can u imagine me abandoning shopping or even window shopping?

So why do I work so hard to earn my licence? For the sake of it? NO! TO DRIVE mann! so what's the use of getting a licence and i cant drive? = useless. grrr. see my point? i might as well learn later and get later.. save up all my $$ and buy my barang barang.

Parents control everything. Why do I have to grow up then?

Stayed home the whole day to rest my body, rest my bones, and sit nice chair. WOW. the feeling is really different from work. Though I'm really bored at home, watch tv watch until 1pm, play with muffin, use the com, nap for 2 hours, then dinner, watch tv again. ahhh. Bored. you see, I got practically nothing to do at home. Msn at home isnt as fun as msn-ing at work. I wonder why the difference.

Will be resting tomorrow too.

Got to 'pq' jul for 1 or 2 days le. Finally got myself a MC to rest at home. wow. super bad mann today. I used up 1/2 box of the office's tissue, filled up 3/4 of the bin with wantons. Disgusted? It's alright. LOL

Worse still, my period came today. which made me waist down 'paralysed'. My lower body will feel very tired and all energy used up after walking for 5 mins. and then my nose was busy making it's wanton. eeks. so horrible today. I dont feel like moving even an inch.

WE DID SOMETHING DIFFERENT O.O

waaaaaaa! very long nv do this kind of thing already. It's damn fun can!

It's our first time playing pool together. seriously, I havent been playing for like 982346923649523 years. We played the 9-ball. First time playing that. muahhaha.. so my teacher is.. TOM! LOL okay, not bad, practice for a while, can aim abit better than my first game. Very nice ah! hehe.

Went shopping on sat with a flowing mucus nose, sore throat, and aching body, plus sensitive skin. Horrible ah. Must keep eating something so my throat feels better when it's occupied. din shop long also..just went in a few shops that I wanted to get m stuff. Got a dorothy perkins white thin belt. TOO BIG. damn. S is TOO SMALL. so wth~ gotta go and poke some holes for it. can i poke it at a watch boutique? x.x or where else should i go? advises?

Wanted to get wedges and heels as well. but! T.T the one i want dont have my size. So didnt get it in the end. and I suck wearing wedges. I look so auntie. cannot bring out tai tai look. LOL .. guess im more suitable for heels :D so it'll just get heels. This coming week lo.

Got 2 undies from dorothy perkins too, plus a purple lace cami at marina square. so that's it. little right! for me! so unlike. but comparing to other girls, even if i got my usual amount of stuff, still lose to them. LOL. wow. they're scary okay. 5 pairs of tops, same, but different colours? 3 pairs of heels different colours? 10 hair bands with different colours? 15 shawls with differetn colours??? yeah. we are women. but i wont do that, cos .. dont have that kind of $$ to spend like that. LOL.

wow. fancy to be sick on a friday!! It's horrible mann. It's horrible when you know you're sick, but you simply cant take the day off cos it's friday - undone work. crap. who can anticipate to be sick on this day right! So, with an aching body, i stoned in front of my com. eeww. Terrible headache too. Sharp pains on the usual spots of the head. That is so irritating. And all my skin felt so prickly sensitive.. If any one were to 'bua' against my skin today, i'll prob give him/her a punch unintentionally. Giddy giddy. Keep breaking cold sweat too. Slight fever i guess. but my aching bones and sensitive skin and headache wins over fever.

Yea, and during lunch, they decided to go chinatown for a fishsoup meal. WOW! i was.. like.. floating there? x.x the weather was HOT, and i broke cold sweat again. Reached fishsoup shop, ate the fishsoup - break more cold sweat.

Then mik so insensitive. He asked "does your family sweat so much too? or only you?" i was O.O by his question. Yes I do sweat alot, but thank God I dont stink. Yea as a girl, to be sweating so much, you hardly see on the street. But being able to sweat alot is better than cant sweat at all. Toxics are being forced out of the body when you sweat yea. I couldn't answer his question on time though, cos I'm already having headache and abit oblivious to the surroundings already.. x.x

and yea, sweating runs in my family. I think.
